Vreeland Law Firm, Inc. is a business and tax law firm for clients who value intelligently practical legal advice. The firm is a corporate and tax law boutique focused on business deals and tax planning.
Vreeland Law Firm, Inc. was founded in 2005 on the premise that a smaller law firm can offer a superior platform for providing cost-effective partner-level representation to entrepreneurial companies and other small to medium-sized businesses. Vreeland Law Firm, Inc. was founded to benefit clients who prefer their corporate and tax matters to be handled not by a junior attorney but by a former big firm partner who will use his extensive experience and seasoned judgment to handle their matters in an intelligently practical manner.
The firm’s small size allows it to be more efficient, responsive, and, ultimately, more effective. Clients receive the partner-level representation that they prefer and deserve, at rates that are significantly less than the rates charged by large firms. Also, the provision of legal services to the firm’s clients is not slowed by the need to comply with bureaucratic procedures or to obtain management committee approvals of client requests.
The sole shareholder of the firm is Clayton (“Clay”) Vreeland. Before founding Vreeland Law Firm, Inc. in 2005, Clay was a business and tax partner in the corporate practice groups at Bingham McCutchen LLP and McCutchen, Doyle, Brown & Enersen LLP. Clay is also a licensed CPA (inactive). Clay has an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell – its highest ranking – indicating a “very high to preeminent” legal ability and “very high” ethical standards.
